The Wandering Pen in Geiranger Fjord, Norway

geirangerfjord

There are places that belong to no one and yet to everyone at the same time.

Like the Geiranger Fjord, where towering cliffs plunge into still waters, appearing motionless, eternal—unchanged through time—while the water surrounding them moves ceaselessly, carrying away whatever crosses its path.

And yet, without the slow, patient erosion of the water, the fjord would not exist.
Without the unwavering endurance of the mountains, the water would have no shape to embrace.
It is this balance between the solid and the fluid that creates the grandeur of this landscape.

So often in life, we feel we must choose—to stay or leave, root ourselves or surrender to the current. But perhaps the answer is not found in choosing one over the other.
Perhaps true understanding lies in realising that freedom is born when we can stand firm like the mountains and yet change shape effortlessly, like the water, because stillness and motion are not opposing forces but two expressions of the same flow in an endless conversation with time itself.

With my wandering pen, I take you on a journey to distant cultures and majestic landscapes.
Each time, one of my travel photographs will become a source of inspiration and motivation for writing.
An opportunity for self-reflection through cultural exploration and the power of the written word.
